We're at the top of the mountain road from where you get to enjoy the beautiful view. On average, it may take 10 minutes to get to the nearest supermarket/grocery store, so plan accordingly. 4-wheel drive/AWD is not necessary but highly recommended in icy or inclement weather conditions. ★ PARKING ★ 4 vehicle maximum. You are in the Smokey Mountains and may see and hear critters, bears, bugs, spiders, etc. Squirrels and other critters can and will get on the roof of the cabin from time to time. The cabin roof is metal so you will likely hear anything that gets up there including rain drops. Bears are dangerous. If you see a bear, stay inside! Do not feed bears or any other wild animals. Do not store food or food wrappers inside your vehicle. Bears can and will break in to vehicles to get food. If you’re lucky enough to see a bear near the cabin, please don’t ask us for a refund! Neighborhood

The road to our cabin is steep and one lane, perfect for those seeking a true mountain adventure. Please note that these are winding mountain roads, and many top attractions are spread out, so you'll spend a lot of time driving. The park is stunning but can be challenging to navigate for first-time visitors. Additionally, there is no cell service once you’re in the park, so be sure to bring maps or take screenshots in advance. There are no habitable cabins inside the park, only historic ones you may encounter on certain hikes. The park has been a national treasure since 1934. Nearby Attractions: -Wears Cove Gap (our secret park entrance to Elkmont): 4.7 miles -Pigeon Forge: 8 miles (15 minutes) -Gatlinburg: 16 miles (45 minutes through GSMNP or down the parkway) -Cades Cove: 23 miles (40 minutes). The loop at Cades Cove is 10.6 miles. You can drive, bike, or run it. It’s closed to cars and open to runners and cyclists on Wednesday and Saturday mornings until 10:00 am from early May to late September. Expect gorgeous views, abundant wildlife, and a good chance of seeing a bear. -Clingman’s Dome: 34 miles (3-4 hours round trip). On the way up, you can enjoy amazing hikes at Newfound Gap such as Andrews Bald and "The Jump Off," and more hikes around Clingman’s Dome. If you prefer a less strenuous experience, at least visit the observation tower at Clingman’s Dome. -Dollywood: 12 miles -Tanger Outlet Malls: 9 miles -Parkway Light #3: 7.3 miles -Wears Valley Rd: 1/4 mile -The Apple Mill Barn: 9 miles -Titanic Museum: 8.6 miles -The Island Amusement Park: 7.4 miles -Rocky Top Harley Davidson: 7.3 miles -Neyland Stadium, Knoxville: 31 miles (1 hour) -Gatlinburg park entrance: 16 miles -Townsend: 9.8 miles -River Rat Tubing: 8.2 miles For hiking enthusiasts, we recommend searching "Hiking In The Smokies" online for more information.

The cabin exceeded our expectations. We had such a relaxing stay with the most beautiful views. It was just what we needed to help relax us from everyday life. Even our 9 year old son had a wonderful time at the cabin. We saw so much wildlife while we were there too. A bear came up the driveway, some wild turkeys and the birds were beautiful too. Robert and Kelly have a beautiful cabin, which we will definitely come back to again!

We spent three nights at the cabin over spring break and loved our experience. The cabin was perfect for our family of five. Our kids loved the hot tub and the arcade in the loft bedroom. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the mountains. The cabin is conveniently located near an entrance to Smoky Mountain National Park and Pigeon Forge. Robert and Kelly were extremely helpful and the app for the rental had all of the information at our finger tips. The drive to the cabin is steep but again the hosts made this clear in their communication. I highly recommend.

The cabin views were top notch, and the hosts were super responsive with easy, smooth communication throughout. The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The drive up was a bit tricky at first, but once you’ve done it, it’s really no probable. For reference, our VW Atlas handled it with no issues.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin for our family spring break. It was the perfect size for our family of four—cozy, clean, and very comfortable. Our boys loved the upper loft with their own space, including a gaming table, TV, and bathroom. The main living area was great for games and movie nights, and the kitchen had plenty of space for cooking. We really enjoyed the wraparound deck—lots of seating, beautiful views, and a great spot for breakfast each morning. The hot tub was fantastic too. The location was very convenient, with easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and the Smokies. The only thing that could have made it even better would be an outdoor fire pit. Overall, we loved it and would definitely come back!

This property was perfect for our vacation! We had four kids with us and our dog and there was plenty of room. All the instructions were very easy to follow, check in was easy, and we had everything we needed there. We ate most meals at the cabin and had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and so relaxing. The driveway was intimidating the first time, but we were prepared and were pros by the time we left (we drive a minivan). The hosts messaged several times to check in and make sure we didn’t need anything. We will definitely be staying here again on return trips!

What an incredible spring break we had at Robert and Kelly's beautiful home! It was very clean, cozy, and filled with so many amenities. We were snowed in for a day while staying there, and we didn't mind one bit! The kitchen is stocked and the beds were very comfortable. My son loved the video games and having the loft area to himself. Our dog enjoyed running up and down the hill while playing fetch. Sadly, we didn't get to use the hot tub due to the weather, but it was clean and hot. The views are breathtaking and the wraparound porch makes for a wonderful place to hang out. Robert and Kelly communicated with us throughout our stay - even when we had car trouble when trying to leave. They truly care about their guests and we are so thankful they shared their beautiful home with us this week. Thank you for making our spring break trip so memorable!

Beautiful cabin and very kid friendly. Beautiful view from the wrap around porch, and the hot tub area was private! The drive way is a bit deceptive, but our Honda accord was able to make it. We will be booking again in the future! With a 4 wheel drive!

Beautiful cabin and excellent hosts! The cabin was very clean with beautiful views. Kids loved the hot tub and video game table. Cabin was easy to find and check in/out was very easy. Hosts were great at communicating with quick responses to any questions we had. We will definitely book again in the future!

Robert and Kelly’s place is beautiful. Very clean, homey and comfortable. And yes, a beautiful view! Robert and Kelly reached out a couple times to make sure all was well and were quick to respond to any questions. They weren’t kidding about the climb to get up there, though. We have a van without AWD and there was one spot that took us a couple tries to get past. Thankfully we hadn’t planned to leave while there so it worked out fine. I’m sure a van is probably one of the worst vehicles to take haha. Just want to make sure anyone else booking has a vehicle ready to take it on. It is a beautiful area and a very peaceful house!

Find us

If you prefer staying on flat terrain, our cabin might not be the best fit for you. Nestled at the top of a mountain, our charming retreat is accessible via a historic one-lane logging road. Rest assured, your car can navigate the ascent and descent without any issues. We just want to be completely transparent: to enjoy the breathtaking views, you will need to drive up the mountain. The road is paved but does have some potholes, and during snowy conditions, a 4-wheel drive vehicle is essential. Please check the weather forecast before you travel, as we do not offer refunds for weather-related issues. We kindly ask that if you book with us, you come prepared with a suitable vehicle and groceries, especially if you're fortunate enough to experience the snow. We strive for 5-star reviews and want to ensure that our guests are fully informed. If a steep road and some potholes aren't your style, this cabin might not be for you. However, if you have a sense of adventure, you're going to love it here! Our cabin is part of a quaint neighborhood of cabins, offering a serene and private retreat.
